if somebody wanted to add a power inverter to a DP plus lnb ,that has two recivers on it , can this be done with out using the dpp 44 switch ?, just the inverter hooked to #1 port on lnb, if so which side of the inverter would go to port #1 on lnb , then im assuming 1 receiver would hook to port #2 & the other would hock to port 3 of lnb. just dont know if it can be used alone with out switch thanks in advance

As long as you hook it to the number 1 output it should work fine without the switch proved all your lnbs are DP or DPPs.

The connection "To Switch" goes out to the LNB.
Don't hook a receiver to the other port of the power inserter, it will affect the receiver.
