When Jose Bautista gets beaned by a Rangers pitcher during this week's Blue Jays/Rangers series, no one should be surprised. <br />
After all, baseball has administered its own brand of justice for far ...

bull...bean him in the playoffs and show some balls
you can't tell me when he did that it didn't pump up his team
never saw him do it in regular season cause he knows it would be uncalled for
he gets beaned expect the benches to clear

Count on it.................dish is right tho tossing that bat did indeed juice his team and the fans. Bautista is a known hot dog so I doubt anyone was surprised by his move esp when he knew he`d get playoff network coverage for it. I don`t like it but I can understand the emotion at the time and how easy it can happen.............regardless he`ll pay for it. LOL

lol the best was when goose called him a disgrace to the game, but yea he did pump up the entire team, that bat flip was replayed at least a million times, they made a lot of money with that flip from merchandise right down to tv ratings lol

Goose was a pitcher so it`s no wonder he`d take the flip as a personal insult to the game. I heard that interview and as bad as Bautista`s flip was Gossage sounded like an idiot as well. I don`t like Bautista at all but that flip was indeed a classic. Timing is everything and his actions were perfect for the scenario.

it's sports ..
they should've settled the score by hitting a game winning homer,
followed by a bat flip of their own ...

what happened there was "hood"

Rice hit his girlfriend like that and lost his job, cost him mega $$ ,,, plus it happened off duty

I'm saying this one is going to sting ,, it has to ,, otherwise the public
is left with conflicting standards ,, from a public perspective, it's "violence"

Which in my opinion needs to be settled equally, if not even more harshly, as it happened on live TV
during MLB broadcast

:yeaah: Raptors :yeaah:

you know Kid ,, your probably right ,, it's baseball,, and kicking and brawling is common ...
such is true in hockey, but, when Wideman cross checked the ref he got hit with 20 games
this one should get equal or 40

It`s always been an unwritten, accepted rule by players and management alike that ....."you plunk mine, I plunk yours" mentality and everyone is fine with that. NOBODY(99.99%) throws at someone`s head, more often it`s a stinger in the ribs and life goes on unless the sports writers decide it`s a slow day. Concerning Bautista.......he`ll never get a whole lot of support past a convenient showing of his teammates.....they all knew he was getting nailed, as did he I`m sure. This situation became elevated the more Bautista yapped and decided to add a somewhat cheap slide into the equation and then squaring up to fight. Note....if you`re going to be the first to take a fighting stance Jose expect a punch coming the other way, especially when you dissed the other team in the playoffs last year. None of this is a big deal.
