im looking for a relitavey new fta receiver,that i can use with just a com& a router &a cat 5 cable,1 that will stand the test of time. please help,appr.

You do realize that stealing satellite signals is a reactive thing? Something that works today may not work tomorrow. There are NO boxes that can reliably be said to stand the test of time.
Even if you were only talking about true FTA, the technology behind satellite signals may and does change. I have a box that is almost 10 years old and it is still good for some things, but I have a box that is almost new and it is getting dated even for true FTA.

I have a DreamBox 500-S - an original box from the German manufacturer that is well over 10 years old and is still working perfectly. It only gets the 118.7 channels from the south but gets all the channels from north 91.
One of the few boxes I know of that have never gone down - originally used it with a card at first and then just switched it over to cardless IKS when they hit the cards. They still use them as card servers for IKS.
