My buddy is using KODI 15.2 with Tvheadend. I'm trying to access a receiver using Box IP 9981. It was working a few days ago, but now doesn't connect.

If I access the browser on the receiver I can type in 192.168.1.16:9981 and access the receiver. If I input in my browser it times out.

TvHeadend is enabled.

Anyone have any thoughts why it would stop connecting via my computer? It's not a port or firewall issue that I can find.

Thanks for any input.

I found this happened the odd time myself. Change your browser or clear the cache in the PC your trying to access it with.

maybe the devices folder is outdated.

Thanks for the suggestion Benney..... Tried clearing cache and history in both FF and Chrome and no luck.

Hi Zombola, when you say devices folder, is there a specific location your are talking about?

Assuming you are using OpenELEC Mediacentre on Kodi!

First check whether the vdr is running.

And the first thing you have to do is a channel scan.
First thing that seems to be very important is In the VDR VNSI Client plugin, you have to turn on "Create channel groups automatically on the server" as described in this video:

Afterwards, you will be able to go into the "Client Specific" menu and perform a channel scan there. Then will enabled LiveTV.

After that and after a restart of OE, you will have the TV Main Menu Item again and things will work pretty well...

good luck

the best i can do for you

I appreciate the information. Previously all that was needed was to have Tvheadend enabled in the KODI PVR client settings. I'm not sure why the challenge exists now as it didn't before. Nothing has been updated. Same version of KODI and Tvheadend that's been running the whole time. I'll check the video and suggestions. Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. :)

After trying the suggestions here and not getting a response still from the unit, I went in and set the unit to a static IP and it's now responding. I'm not sure why it's reacting that way. I'm guessing the router was just not connecting between the 2. Some sort of confusion was being caused is my guess. Thanks for all the suggestions and help. Hopefully this will save someone else a few days....lol
