It was so cold in Ottawa last month that the soft drinks in the foyer of this supermarket froze....

That's a lot of flat pop when it thaws. Must be a very busy store because if the stores heating system went AWOL the pop would not freeze but since it is on display right at the doors, sliding ones to boot, there would have to be substantial traffic in and out to allow that much cold air in to cause this.
