Sylvester Stallone is in talks to make a 'Creed' sequel.
The 69-year-old actor reprised his most famous role as boxer Rocky Balboa for the seventh film in the 'Rocky' franchise and has now revealed he has been discussing ideas for another movie with director Ryan Coogler.
What's more, the film could see Rocky reunited with his late friend Apollo Creed – whose son Adonis 'Donnie' Creed, portrayed by Michael B. Jordan, the retired champ trains in the current flick – with Carl Weathers returning to the franchise to reprise the role for the first time since 1985's 'Rocky IV'.
Stallone said: ''Ryan has some ideas of going forward and backward and actually seeing Rocky and Apollo together. Think of 'The Godfather 2'. That's what he was thinking of, which was kind of ambitious.''
Stallone believes that if the idea was to come to fruition, they need to act quickly to get Coogler, Jordan and the rest of the cast on board.
The action legend – who wrote the original 'Rocky' film which went on to win the Best Picture Oscar in 1976 – told Variety: ''I know Ryan is probably going to be gone for a couple years. So there will be a quandary: Do we work with another director and have Ryan produce, or do we wait? There's a diminishing time acceptance of a sequel. Now they are cranking them out in a year.''
