Went for lotto tickets this afternoon at a town close by and asked the owner of the store about his dish. No, that little 4' one is for the lottery but, the BUD out back has been here since I bought the store and have never even bothered to hook it up. Asked for a closer look and was surprised how good shape it was in. May even get an old receiver to boot!

Now to get the truck going and find a buddy to help. Will have to bring an assortment of tools to get it down and to cut the post at ground level. Very similar to "risk's" setup, only the post goes into the ground and I doubt it will pull up and out so I'll have to bring the trusty old sawzall and the grinder with a cutoff wheel. Boy, am I ever excited, don't think his wife will complain, as she wants it gone too!

10' mesh Uniden, with lnb that has a conical scalar ring. Has about 75 feet of ribbon cable in good shape and a 16' pole. Don't know about the receiver yet but, that's the least of my problems!

Everyone have a good weekend!

It sounds like BUD is getting more popular, at least with the people on this forum.

Awesome news CTP, the only thing you'll need is an lnbf to replace old school lnb which is probably on it. Have a look at the actuator to make sure it hasn't seized and if they have an old ird stb then your in luck, best positioner out there, even more accurate than a vbox.
