A "Spot Beam" is a local area beam that is for one region and may not be available to all. (Like on 119W, TP12224)

Like one spot beam may cover New York city and the surrounding area and may be receivable in Philadelphia but not Boston, these spot beams have most of the local area TV stations in them.

A CONUS beam covers most of the US, parts or all of Alaska and parts of Canada.

Some large states like Texas or California may have several spot beams.

question what is spot beam? how is it entered?
It means the sat signal is directed at a specific area.No point in entering it as no servers support it

If I'm getting this, example like 119w,tp12224 spot beam.I should enter the sequence but not expected to receive a signal, correct?

R=V, L=H, and on some receivers the 3/4 or7/8 is automatically selected.
