Apparently D7sh changed a lot of transponders on sat 110 and a bunch of channels have " no signal", does anybody know how to update this? I did a rescan and a bunch of doubles showed up wuith different names, but still "no signal".

Yes you need to edit the TP's . Change symbol rate to 21500 and modulation to Q8spk.

Not a fix per say.. But these changes need to be made so you get the signal back on all the channels, then everything on your end is fixed up and ready to go. Then it is just a waiting game as the P$ providers play catch-up with hardware and cache servers to supply the code words for all mpeg4 channels. From what I am told it is only a matter of time and picture will start coming back, but you must make the necessary updates / changes as well.

so whats the fix on my end ,, is it to change each tp to 8psk? and then wait for picture to come in?

Yes. Go through the list of TP's for 110 and make changes to the ones you are not getting a signal for. It is scheduled for 119 to follow suit in the next week or 2 so it will likely get worse before it gets better. But yes it is now a waiting game, I am sure the providers are all doing their best to be the first one back, but really its a bottle neck of replacing hardware and upgrading servers. Patience is a virtue.

Read it again. It says nothing about changing q8psk. I can not explain it any better than i did in that post, all i can suggest is to read it again and do some tests with your STB to get a better understanding. Sorry, but good luck :)

I do not own a sonicview so I do not see what you do, but I am sure other folks here can help you with the specifics for that STB.

To be a bit more clear, what is happening with 110 and soon to be 119 is that they are switching from mpeg2 to mpeg4 which to put in easy terms is changing from QPSK @ 20000KS/S over to 8PSK @ 21500KS/s. The easiest way to fix your issue is to find the menu location in the SV where you can edit the transponders for 110w. then change the Polarity Rate in any of the TP's you do not have a signal for over from 20000KS/s (QPSK) to 21500KS/s (8PSK).

Perhaps anyone whom owns a SV and understand's how to change this information could help further to guide you in the right direction.

Nah, some have all or some TP's in 8psk and qpsk pre programmed others don't.. you can add and delete transponders at your will, not everyone will have the exact same list.

I change all the 110 that had no signal to 21500 turbo 8 and some came back with a strong signal and some came back with a weak signal like trans 12224/21500 signal is only 40 percent is there some other changes for this trans.

Not all providers have caught up and it's confusing to know if you're set up, so I recommend you try channel 201 NOTAX which is on 110 and is open, to test your settings.

Good Luck Testing,

8psk boards do not need to be changed or modified unless of course its defective.

After making changes to EchoStar 10 transponders (with no signal), to Symbol Rate from 20000 to 21500 and to Modulation from DVB-Qpsk to Turbo 8psk. I was able to get all my channels back from 300 to 401 (exceptions are:: 306, 346, 347, 386, 391, & 401)
It's worth noting that the changes to transponders were made 24-48 hrs before channels actually came in. I have made transponder changes to channels in the 100's but were not done too long ago. There is no picture on those yet but they may still come in.

Hope this helps some:yes:

Agreed. I found 19 CONUS TP's on 110 that have signal. Only these 2 are still QPSK @ 20000 KS/S:

12443
12516

the other 17 are 8PSK @ 21500 KS/S:

12224
12239
12253
12282
12297
12311
12326
12341
12355
12370
12399
12414
12428
12457
12486
12530
12559

Any other TP's found using a network scan are spot beams. Check out this always up-to-date website: hxxp://jameslong.name/ which lists all current channels on each sat.
Replace the xx with tt.

I have 5 transponders still on QPSK @ 20000KS/s on 110w here..

12443 & 12516 as you stated but also: 12603 - V @ 20000KS/s QPSK, 12632 V @ 20000KS/s QPSK, and 12661 V @ 20000KS/s QPSK

just an fyi guys i put on the bin that was posted yesterday and did a scan but the 110 and 119 picked up a total of about 100 channels. i'm doing a blind scan now on the 110 to see if something was messed up or not. i will post back later with my findings

ok i did do another scan on the 110 and picked up all the channels most of the channels are there i believe but on the 119 it gave me some issues but that may be on my end i think my switch might be acting up signal goes in and out when i fool around with the lnb power on and off seems signal goes from 90 to 0 but the 110 channels i did check seemed to be working didn't go through alot of them but the ones i did worked.
great job just when i thought i was gonna get rid of this box it proves to me why i love it lol

Are you kidding bro. These boxes are still da bomb. I keep looking for used ones to pickup for other rooms i have. I have tried most of the other boxes and none of them has a great epg like this one does as well as atsc built in. I bought some mpeg 4 boards off flea b for my boxes jsut inc ase. COuld this be why some aren;t getting all the transponders? I would think you would still get the transponders and just can;t picvkup mpeg 4 . I'll see if I can make a channel list, take time with updates transponders.

of course number of transponders will vary from one person to the next. It depends on your location and how many spotbeams are hitting you

scooby8888
08-10-2015, 09:41 AM
funny thing now too is i'm going have to input some transponders for the 118 i'm getting no signal on all the transponders it might be on my end though when i change channels sometimes i get no signal then when i go into the setup and fool around with the lnb off and on or change the settings then back again it kicks in so i'll do some investigating.

Check the Sticky (http://www.satfix.to/forumdisplay.php?1251-Sonicview-8000-HD-Stickies) section for a list. Check the link below for files. First one is a ch.list per this month...third one down is a blank tp file with the exception of three tp's that was created a few months ago and is still valid to date.
