In a recent interview with ESPN SportsNation, Andre Ward (28-0-0) clarified something that is not only on everyone’s mind, but has also been plaguing the undefeated champ’s career in the recent past.
Ward stated that he is willing and ready to face GGG (33-0-0) as soon as possible, and that all that has to happen is both sides have to get serious and contact HBO. Ward suggested that he had already don’t this earlier, and that the reason that this fight has not yet come to fruition, was to a certain extent because of the media pushing the urgency of the fight back, and in part because Golovkin himself has been hiding behind promoters.

While Andre Ward has faced some of the best competition out there in super middleweight division, most believe that Golovkin would be Ward’s toughest opponent to date.
Golovkin is young, extraordinarily strong, and has the chin and stamina to keep the pressure on for the entirety of the bout. How GGG would respond and adjust to Ward’s impeccable technical skill paired with defensive maneuvering, is what makes this fight intriguing.
It could certainly land on PPV, and it would be worth the price. There would be a huge promotion, and the excellent match-up would unreliably deliver action, from bell to bell.

Agree with aqua on this amigo Fib.... I will bet my confederate flag on the G man...
IF it ever happens.. I think Ward is blowing off lots of hot air...
He only fights bums... and the G man is no bum...
Even Lampley kinda took a dig at Ward.. saying the public would like to see him fight soon...
Lets hold off on this til its official... GGG called Ward out on tv...saying he would love to fight him.
ANYONE for that matter... notice they arent' exactly lining up?????

Well, will see. GGG is vulnerable to straight right hands to the face, lets see how many ward can land. Must remember that Ward is big and can take a punch.

Maybe in the near future he will, for now a fight with GGG would be more interesting. After his long vacation, taking on G would be his probable choice. I love to see this happen as I'm sure aqua,Condor, rudee and Bonzo would also. lol

I am not sure why Ward is getting such attention here. I goes to show how dull and boring boxing is these days. There are several "hot prospects" worth our attention: TYSON FURY, ANTONY JOSHUA, KELL BROOKS, ROMAN GONZALES, FELIX VERDEJO, LOMACHENKO, TERENCE CRAWFORD....etc., etc.,

.....forget the bum Ward...for that matter, forget Danny Garcia, too!

Well, I don't know Aqua.. Danny Boy is pretty good... just being led astray by his dad I think.
If he had good management I think he would be an excellent champ..
Just has to cut out all the non title fights and get in there with the big boys.
Of your above list I really like Verdejo and Crawford..might be the best out there right now.

I concur with my amigo rudee, Garcia has all the tools to kick asz in that division, now more than before. Pac gone and PBF retiring, will bring about some good young prospects to the table. Also Crawford can grow into that division, boxing is about to take a good turn.
