Hello all I have been in this iptv game since last November and now Im just starting to wake up. I have noticed ALOT of people trying to make a buck out there pretending to be their own service but really are ipguys, voodoo, nfps etc...
My question and beef is this , when I purchase a sub from , lets say "ip guys" am I "really" getting ip guys servers or someone elses that are linked to ip guys? I know we punch in the same url address like cod123....... but are we really getting what we pay for ? There s a guy on youtube selling ip guys but calls his company "ikstvclub " and no where on his site does he say the words ip guys?

Anyone have any input into this please post Thanks Mikil

There is a thread already on this forum here on iksClub http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?184645-IKS-CLUB-Ripoff
and the guy is a real winner and should be avoided...
I wouldn't pay a nickel for iptv because you can do it yourself but then some just prefer to let someone else do the work.....then all hell breaks loose when legal letters are given to those that subscribe and pay for things that are technically illegal.
Anyway......they probably all share the same crap....but who really knows?
I do no there are a lot of fly by nighters out there that will screw you at every turn....so be careful do some research.

IPTV is not a service. It is a protocol to deliver digital audio and video signals to any device that can connect to the internet. If you have Internet and a way to connect to it, computer, phone, tablet or set-top box etc., you have IPTV. How you chose to watch these streams (VOD or live tv) is your choice. Kodi and the hundreds of different addons for Kodi, being one of the better options (and FREE!)

hmmm this is interesting but I was just fooling with that Ivue guide and I also have stalker installed except it does not really function on its own anymore. Stalker is used to provide a channel list for the guide is all.

now keeping this as simple as possible I clicked on a channel in the guide and the channel played. I tried another channel and it popped up a menu asking which addon I wanted to use for the channel and there were 3 choices. Another channel had 5 choices so I can't see how you can determine where any of them are originating from because everybody is stealing from everybody.

people seem to think that there is some type of super computer out there streaming all this stuff to everyone. The truth is all you are doing when subscribing to these services is paying for stuff that is already free all over the net and by clicking on a channel number you are requesting a link which is passed on to you. Not a whole lot different than doing a search on google for a youtube video

That's how iVue works. It searches for all the installed addons that can provide the stream you're looking for and gives you the choice to link that channel to the addon you chose. If there is only 1 choice it will start playing immediately. I don't think it's actually the same stream in all the choices, but it might be. 'We the people' are actually doing most of the streaming and the more people that can do this, the more the system will improve. The drawback is that their streams are being "used' by others claiming them to be their own. I don't understand why peeps are willing to pay for 'services' that they can get for FREE and it's not difficult to do so in spite of what they (the donation services) try to convince you of.

Yeah, but you guys have to understand that there are lots and lots of people out there that
don't know kodi or iptv from a pickle jar... i would say 40 percent of the people out there haven't
got the slightest idea what you guys are posting about... all they want to do is pay and click on what
they want to see...
Those are the people that are paying for these services...
I myself do not,,, but many busy and older folks do. (they cannot afford a sub service)

I couldn't agree more about who is using it but it makes me wonder how they think we learned the stuff. Granted if they don't want to waste a few hours reading and learning that is their prerogative but then at the same time why bother asking in public forums because of their own ignorance. They should be PM'ing the same guy they bought the so called service from to begin with.

Hi rudee its good that those ppl pay for services because without them there would be less to look for lol they got the money.IPTV is all about sharing but the almighty dollar has changed that but thats fine more tv for me and the ones whom search for it.Some forums brainwash their members making them believe that paying is the only way to get good iptv its not iptv stalker is still free even without ivue and renegades just by clearing the cache and entering Nfps`s default Mac just learn how to find it sure they will change it but theres always other ways to get around it.Some will donate to these paid services just to get access so that they can share in Europe its a game of ego`s on who can find and manipulate stream links from free and paid services something we here need to learn.
Again let those who have the bucks and no desire or are to busy to take the time to find good iptv it keeps the ball rolling along!

Many of the streams that these paid services arent even theirs some are but
very few, Nfps has the premiums like the hbo`s etc. that are theirs but the
other 90 percent of the channels are just links that can be found on the net.
If you intent to pay for a service i strongly suggest that you ask for a free trial
and most importantly learn how to use programs like Urlhelper or wireshark so
that you can see where the streams are coming from.I dont see anyone here or on other forums
here in the US that even mention Urlhelper urlsnooper wireshark streamtransport?????

Here is an example of someone sharing a paid service

http://pastebin.com/Yn4P73Fd

let use hbo as an example
http://mbox-addon.com/streams/69021-navix.m3u8
type the address in red to your browser this is the paid service.
This is formatted to use on Kodi navi-x but you can playback in vlc too just use the Url=address
the ones labeled VIP will only last this weekend the others are what they borrowed from others.
Most of the others are from streamlive.

I'm still using the metalke**le staker and I get great streams. EPG sucks. Had a good run on NCIS until the 'pay' DTV screen came up.
Thanks to whomever streamed that!

With services like rocket... the price is actually quite cheap.

Yes i do know you can get it other places for free.... but hey, for the price, its worth it to just have the ease of use.

You don't have to change any links, the channels are generaly reliable.

I don't think its people ignorance, its just some people don't mind paying the extra money for something easier...
That and, some people like me... prefer live tv over " on demand"

Its like paying the kid up the street to shovel your drive way... I can do it, i just choose not to ;)

No that's not how IPTV works! IPTV is not like IKS...the resellers just want you to think that you need their "service"! If you have half a brain you don't! You can do IPTV streaming for FREE!

Ya but it is a lot of work trying to find some free streams that actually work. Especially with us channels. You may find ones that work then a few hours later there down. Many addons installed. Would rather pay a fee and have it easier

It's only "a lot of work" if you don't know what you're doing and don't have the right addons. People originally got into this 'hobby' to learn with hands on experience. It was only when the 'free TVers' and IKS 'services' came around that this became a greedy 'lazy man's hobby'. To some of us the learning and exploring and trying is part of the fun, really not interested in 'free TV' but interested in getting different projects to work and the satisfaction that comes when you are successful. This stuff is not 'rocket science' and really easy if one does some basic reading....but it's your money. If you chose to just pay for 'free TV' that's your choice. Just don't make statements that are not true. :)

Well if you can point me to an addon by either replying to this thread or pm it would be great. I myself have been googling daily for the last couple of weeks and have ton of addons installed. Same thing with each 1, it works good for a day or 2 then most links are down or the links are over loaded. Im talking about the us links and movie networks. The sports links i dont check that much. Channels for example i am talking about are amc, tntt, cbs, nbc, tbs, bbc

If you have been using Google and can't find what you're looking for then you're not using the right search words. Google "best Kodi live tv addons" and you might find a few. I'm surprised you haven't found USTVNOW in your searches. USTVNOW has all those US channels you've listed. You have to sign up for either a free account (which gives you the basic 7) or a paid account which gets you a ton of channels. It's a fine line between helping and spoonfeeding. I don't spoonfeed. A little digging around and you'll find the ones that don't go down...maybe even right here at Satfix in the Kodi sections :innocent:

Man did this thread get off track but hey it was interesting ha ha ?

I agree that finding streams that work is ALOT of time wasted for some and gained for others. Im sick of the BIG guys like NFPS putting up hundreds of channels on their iptv system and "CANNOT" even keep 50 % of em going or maintain them and ALOT of them freeze up ?
In the case of iptv services smaller is better seeing whomever runs the show should be able to maintain em better! Just my thoughts?
