The receiver and services running aren't related. Dish IKS usually goes down once or twice a month for a few days. Bell IKS rarely gets ECMed by the provider but the IKS server operators DDOS each other, which leads to instability and downtime.

As for the receiver, Nfusion HD has the best picture quality and Dreamlink is the easiest to setup.

Dreamlink, problem free. Use to use an infusion years back, chucked it into the garbage as I found it never cycled fast enough giving freezing issues. Went dreamlink and never looked back. But will add infusion was king in the beginning of IKS quite a few years back.

Have the dreamlink T5 and will never buy another receiver as long as iks is running. Quick channel change and good pic.
Thats what I would recommend.

Only buy 1 month service at a time, the future of IKS is very unsure right now.

I would have done a little reading in nfusion forum before you jump in and order one. It is not a plug and play box.
Dreamlink is a good box and an even cheaper box is a clone jynxbox. The jynxbox comes preloaded with file so all you have to do is put in server information which you will buy and then scan for channels. That way if IKS goes south in the next couple months you won't have a large investment in your doorstop. jmo
