I got a question about movie formats.

I have a jynx box V6, a dream link HD, and I have on order a 254.

I’m curious whether I can play a recorded movie that I have recorded from one box and play on another box.
I see when I record a movie from my dream link box, I have several files in different formats.
I haveMPEG-2, VLC, IFO, SQL,&001.File.

Are these the same flies would see and be able to play on my Mag 250/254 box ?? Are movie files interchangeable???

thanks for da help....

really no answer for that because some might be and some might not be. I know a lot of programming I will save to la flash drive on Kodi and then watch it later on my LG smart tv and for the most part it will but there are few formats it has issues with. In your case I thing the receivers might playback most of what you download with the MAG but don't think saved files on the receivers would be interchangable or playable on the MAG because they are probably proprietary. Try it and find out :)

i agree with nost you'll have a better chance with the mag and vlc has most of the codecs to play any format .
