I'm having a issue with my t5 not staying on ac3 through Hdmi I go into menu and select it then it will go into ac3 but as soon as I change to a sd none ac3 channel and then switch back it goes back to pcm but in the menu it still says ac3 is selected but my audio receiver shows pcm any one else with this issue

Try this,
Use the remote.
Configuration menu, A/V Output Settings, Select HDMI Audio Output, hit ok, Select AC3, select the exit key on the remote, Save,
Press the mute button on the remote once. You should have AC3 audio.
Hope this helps.

I made a mistake! Hit the audio key once. Make sure volume is turned up.

CyberDad is right, this "should" work but you have to consider HOW the HDMI signal is traveling from the source to the speakers. I wrestled with this problem for a long time before I realized that all my HDMI was also going through my receiver, so I had to program the audio inputs/outputs on the receiver for HDMI and not optical before the AC3 signal would pass through. It doesn't seem to switch automatically.
good luck
