Hello guys, first let me tell you what I have just in case, then I'll say what I want to know how to:
2 Laptops
Acer one aspire, weird I bought both of them the same day and both are different.
Laptop #1 Acer One aspire XP Home edition color blue
Laptop #2 Acer One aspire Vista Basic White color
Router #1 D-Link always being used connected to cable company modem
Router #2 Buffalo Air Station Turbo G High Power Model Number:WHR-HP-G54
This router it was giving to me I fixed it, it was a broken cable from Power supply.
KBox +
I-Link 210
I want to eliminate the long cable from the D-Link to the K-Hub and have the second Router (buffalo) next to Kbox so the K-Hub is connected to this router with a 12" Cat5 cable, I was told this set up is called gateway, I was also told the second router will only have a single cable connected to it no input in the ethernet, it will get internet wireless by the first router.
How can this be done or do I need something else in my list

i would use a wireless bridge. then you could run up to 4 more hubs from that or cp's or what ever. about the same price as a router.

Sorry my fault I didn't explain that part. Kbox+ and I-Link are not connected at same time, I use each a week, this week testing is for Kbox, next week starting Saturday Kbox is in resting mode and I-Link takes KBox place..............I just want to eliminate the cat cable running above me in the living room.
I am not familiar with the air station.
But what your looking to do is basically making the air-station a seeker and not a receiver.
I have only ever done this with a Linksys router. But even then, to do it, you need to flash it with a different Operating System if you will.
If there is no distro/OS that you can load to the air station, one other option you can do is use one of your laptops as a gateway.
So basically all you would do is take say laptop#1 and lan line it to the Air Station then use the wireless to connect to the D-link. Then share network access through the wireless card.
The laptop would be the gateway for the router which in turn supplies access to the kbox.
Kinda of a waste of a laptop but it can be made to work.
I would research whither you can re distro your air station, or does it even support wireless seeking as is. If not invest in a Linksys. I only say that cause I know it works and is actually not hard to do.
(To sum up the distro thing. Out of the box a wireless router is a receiver. You need to change it so that it no longer is a receiver but a seeker.)
I hope that makes sense.

Let me take it to the top......................bump:bump:
That air station is pretty slick man.
It has everything I think you need built in.
Basically you just have to turn it into client mode and connect it to your d-link.
Here is some documentation that explains how.

OK, I think I'll use the Buffalo as the main router and the D-Link as the salve, liking the features Buffalo has..........I just need to read that manual to secure the Buffalo.............................thanks Soah.
