Any ideas of what the problem could be. My 8000 powers on (I can see lights in side) but nothing shows up on the
Display. Just stays blank. It started booting for awhile but would not get past that. Now it will not even do that.
Any help would be much appreciated. (or where I could get it fixed).

Don't have the 8000 but I have the 360 so never ran across that problem but from reading what other's have posted in the past could be something internal...possibly the power supply. If you feel comfortable you could take the cover off and check to see if you have some bulging capacitors on the power supply...a sure sign from what I've read that could be the problem. Not had any dealings with this individual myself but some say the person in the link below on fleabay is good with repair on the 8000...goes by danmarco on fleabay:

Caps C10 and C24 on the power supply ... Replace 2 caps with 1000uf 16V also a good idea to replace Diode D6 with a 3A 40V Diode.

usually its only the #c10 and #c24 that need changing when that happens, the capacitors you can get them at any electronic stores including radio shack for a couple of bucks for both, but need soldering.....
