Since last week the MegaTVi shd3000 works for 2 minutes then the channels stop working. If I reboot it, it works for another 2 minutes and channels go black again, but still getting a strong signal. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Mine has locked up in the past but rebooting would straighten it back out...trying to come up with answer for you but come up blank so far...unless it's a power issue. :noidea:

Mine has been going scrambled no signal for a while but it comes back on it's own with in a few minutes but it doesn't happen every couple of minutes...I figure they are still having some problem on the server end.

leave it on channel 9421 and see if the problem continues. If it stays working then it would suggest internet problems. A possibility also could be the 8psk card

Just a suggestion, try leaving the box off for 15 min's before rebooting giving the caps a chance to bleed out and the box to cool down.

He would need to unplug the box from the wall for the caps to bleed out. If left plugged in they retain everything as there is still current to the box.

From what I read the op updated the file and that solved their problem...as far as the support I would say that is a dead issue now...of coarse I could be wrong.

he needed to update the software from 0714 I suggested he load 0820 on the unit and that resolved the freezing issues :)
megas sk200 also like to overheat causing constant freezing as well, ive been told a laptop cooler does wonders

Rule of thumb is to load the newest file out which in this case is the 8044...but to each his or her own I guess...been running the 8044 since it came out and until they started having some server issues a couple of weeks ago I had very little problem with mine.

the latest file will play longer but it is not without a nag the file will freeze multiple times daily without fail and the IP TV pre loads are gone no data but the 8044 is the best option until we get new firmware i hope

I have one of these receivers and it is working fine. When I 1st got it I read posts that the power supply was weak so I replaced mine with that from a Dreamlink. The IPtv part we know doesn't work and apart from that the only beef I have is when it is programmed with channels from both popular providers the EPG tends to bleed over from 1 service to the other. For example the adult channels on one provider show as NHL network in the guide from the other provider and this is throughout the whole range of channels. I am not experiencing any freezing issues.

i unplugged mine over night and still the same problem.
Did factory reset, set static ip, rescaned all chs but still the same problem...
Mega just disconnects from internet after few mins, i checked unencrypted ch and it works fine..so it just looses connection to internet but there is no problem with my internet...
i m on 714 file because that is the only file that does not have lagging issue on hd chs.......but now my north is gone....i have to watch sports on sd ch mostly on charlie...so i ll update with the new bin and see if that resolves...

so its that 714 file that is the problem after all......

File 820 seems to be solid and using dreamlink power cord.

i m using dreambox 2.0Amp power supply on 820 file and the lag is noticeable on north hd chs
u can not notice alot on charlie hd chs....714 file was the only that never had any lag regardless of power supply used.
not sure whats the problem with 714 file, it looks like it expired or something....is there such a thing lol

its not that noticeable, u will see like little small hiccups when picture is moving specially during hockey game
I had this identical problem. This is how you fix it.
1. Download latest file to USB stick (820)
2. Place stick in stb usb port (front)
3. Hit menu button
4. Go to utilities
5. Select update tab
6. Find and highlight latest file update
7. Hit OK (file will begin to load)
8. When file download is complete, stb will reboot
9. After auto reboot is complete, use power button to turn stb off
10. Turn stb back on and you should be good to go. (power supply don't play issue)
The reason earlier file stopped working was somehow it got corrupted. The one thing you may notice when using the latest file is a small decrease in quality and signal strength.
