reciever has only one light, not working

I have a converted nano 2 to ilink receiver, a while ago the power was totally off to the receiver and when it came back on the front of the receiver only showed one green light , no time display or channel display, just one green light in the front . remote would not work tried turning power on/off in the back. after a few hours the display returned by itself and worked fine . Same thing happened a few days ago, I went to move receiver and unplugged it, and now it just shows that same green light on and no other display, can anyone recommend anything, thanks

Possibly a capacitor going, open that baby up and look to see if any of the caps are bubbled up on the top. If so that may be the culprit. Let us know what you find.
