Can't enter new info

My server and port are set to default, I can enter new data in these 2 areas but when I exit out I lose it. Worse then that, ID and password areas will only let me enter 2 numbers and that's all. As though the margins are set. ID has old number, password and Des key both say default. Password I can enter 2 numbers that's all. Des key, I cannot enter anything.

I am a girl with no clue as to what to do. Help and thank you!

I've not but was leaning towards learning how to do that. Maybe I can find a post with pointers. I know I need to write stuff down before I wipe it clean but not sure exactly what. Thanks for replying :)

Did not work for me but unplugged overnight for me, means about 5 hours asleep. So, I've unplugged this afternoon, unhooked everything and will try again tomorrow. Thank you all.
