I just moved to my new house and there was a Microyal SW-44A switch left behind with a power inserter. I would like to know if I could use it. My main receiver in the theatre room is a Dreamlink T5 and the second one is a Sonicview SV-360P will be installed in another room. Right now I only have the Dreamlink connected to a diseqc switch. I have 4 cable coming into the house. 110, 119, 129. 91 and 82 are on 1 through an SW-21. The diseqc is in the house. 82 and 91 are on port 4, 119 on port 1 and 110 on port 2 and 129 on port 3. If I can use the SW-44A does it matter which ports I install each satellite to on the "to dish" side of the switch. Also what settings if any would I do in the receiver settings. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks

That is an old legacy switch setup for only 2 LNB's, if you look you have 1A and 1B, 2A and 2B inputs, this is for the +13 and +18 volt transponder switching voltage used in the old style legacy LNB's.

You can only hook 2 standard LNB's to this old switch.

To hook 2 or more receivers to a 5 LNB/satellite setup you will need a 10x4 switch or larger. (one dual output LNB per satellite, 2 coaxes from each LNB for a total of 10 inputs, to 4 outputs)

Or if you only need 2 receivers a Diseqc 1.1 or 2.0 8x2 switch used with 5 standard LNB's will work.

Thanks for the info Terryl. I was thinking the SW-44A wouldn't work but I had to ask. One thing I need to clarify is the two bev lnbs are legacy duals and the three dtv dual lnbs. Will the two switches you recommended work with all these with two receivers? Thanks

I looked on line to find the switch you are talking about. Would the emp centauri P167W work. It states 4 satellites 2 receivers. I figure the SW-21 switch I'm using converts to 4 satellites on the diseqc switch.

I wouldn't mix brands, BEV and DTV sometimes don't get along too good in the hardware department, I would go with 5 new DP dual output single LNBs and 2 of the 8x1 Diseqc switches** from EMP, your receivers should be able to use the Diseqc 1.1 or 2.0 settings, that would get your the best setup for the least headache and hair loss.

Use 2 of these

**One switch connected to one output on each LNB, another switch connected to the second output of the LNB.
