Hi, is there a sub section on this Site that deals with vip211 and these kind of receivers? Think they called ird receivers. I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

Vip211 is a dish network subscription receiver. You will not find a forum on this site for that but there have been discussions of sub receivers. What exactly is your issue with this receiver?

No issue, some people have said that they have the best epg and picture quality. Just looking to read up on them and see what there about. Some used are for sale.

The VIP series of receivers are top of the line,(for dish equipment) the 211 and 722 series have a great picture, and some of the downloaded videos are in true 1080i.

Beware of buying a used one as some that I have run across had unpaid PPV movies/events on them, it took some serious negotiations with Dish to get these resolved.

Only buy a true New In Box receiver from a well established dealer.
