Are you using a motor? No need for a switch with a motor to one receiver?

You don't use any settings in usals. Disq number should convey which port you are using on the switch for each satellite. Example if 129 is on port #1 on the switch then the disq # in antenna setting for 129 has to be #1. capeesh

Your receiver needs to be Diseqc 1.1 compatible, look for that setting in the sat setup menu, then you can select the 1 to 8 Diseqc ports.

if i remember correctly sv8000hd choices are only Mini-A Mini-B or 1 2 3 4 and that's it next is off position the only other option is the legacy switch's there is always the 22 k switch connect 110 119 two sats in one out to one disqsec port

Yah just looked at the manual, it says it's Diseqc 1.1 compatible but I don't see the selection in the menu's, oh well that system is very old and not supported by the factory anymore, so I think he is out of luck with the 1x8 switch.
Unless a SV8000 guru can advise us differently.

No need for a 8X1 switch.
All you need is a regular 4X1 Diseqc and a 22K Tone switch.
Connect 110,119,129 to port 1-2-3 To port 4 connect your 22K and 82,91 accordingly.
In setup 82,91 select Diseqc port 4 and turn 22k switch on or off.

Thanks for everyone's input..I know i can use the 22k switch but wanted to use only one switch and ebay is selling a 8 to 1 switch saying '' if your receiver is older and doesnt have 8x1 support you can still use this switch. There are Two ways of setting up your Switch:
1. Through DiseqC 1.1 by changing uncommitted setting and using 8 ports
2. you may also use your USALS (motor Setting) or DISEQC 1.2 , you need to make 8 different setting for each satellite signals so the receiver thinks you are using a motor.

You can use the USALS motor settings, if it will allow you to set the "Committed" and "Uncommitted" Diseqc ports correctly.
Your receiver will send out signals for the motor (don't use one) but it wont affect the switch.
If you use the USALS you will have to enter your Longitude and Latitude for your location, you can find this by using Google maps or Earth.

If Using usals with 8-1 switch and setting the Committed" and "Uncommitted" Diseqc what is the correct setting for the Diseqc ports ?

For an 8 port Diseqc 1.1, 1.2 or 2.0 switch (8 or more LNB ports) use the uncommitted setting, this will give you 8 selections for 8 LNB inputs.
All satellite settings must be set to this, and the selected LNB for that satellite must follow the port number you select for that satellite.
It could look like this
LNB 1 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 1
LNB 2 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 2
LNB 3 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 3
LNB 4 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 4
LNB 5 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 5
LNB 6 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 6
LNB 7 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 7
LNB 8 – Diseqc Committed “none” – Uncommitted input 8

There is no committed or uncommitted settings in the port settings on the sonicview 8000 receiver there is only mini a & b plus ports 1 to 4 only in any setup
