just bought a dreamlink t5 hd

Hello all, here I am again from viewsat to nfusion and now to dreamlink as I'm told this is the way to go these days.
I'm looking for instructions on how to set the dreamlink up. Inside the carton box there is a small board which I need to install inside the dreamlink and I'm wondering where it goes and how to install it. Also, I'm wondering how I get my code into the box. Complete setup instruction would be appreciated.

Just got mine a few days ago and it fairly simple....Had it up within 5 min...(lol....about a half hour after I realized that all the server info you input doesn't stay, but it is there as long as you enter it correctly.....just enter, exit and it should connect)

To the OP, just load the latest file then reboot from rear switch and your sats will be there.

Oh, no need to load factory file, it will already be installed.

I see there are about 7 files listed, do I need to install them all?

I've got my satelite now but I can't seem to tune in 110. Signal and quality is good but won't lock in for some reason. 119 and 129 are locked in and the signal and quality went from red bar to blue but can't seem to get 110 to do the same. Any ideas?

Are you getting any 110 W channel ? I am having same problem, but I am getting 110 channels.

No not getting any 110 channels. I can't lock in at all that particular satellite yet I have the 119 and the 129 locked in and pulled in those channels.

It could be your switch problem. What kind of switch are you using ?

EMP - Centauri PRO FI line is what on the box and it says diseqC 2.0 Switch. Supposed to be a real heavy duty switch with 4 year warrenty. Could it be my setting are wrong with regards to diseq switch? I think I have the dish switch set to the older 1.0.

What transponder are you using for 110 in your settings?

it will help if you post your current sat settings as they appear on your receivers sat screen for each sat involved and also mention what LNBFs are on your pan.

Hello everyone, just a short message to thank everyone for your comments and suggestions. I've got my Dreamlink working as it should and I'm very happy with it compared to my nfusion HD and before that the viewsat 9000 HD.

Glad to hear that you got your Dreamlink working . Just curious -how did you fix it. I still cannot get mine to lock at 110, but I am getting the channels on the 110 bird.

Hi, sorry for the delay in response. I set my switch as follows 119 -1 110 - 2 129 -3 and like you I managed to lock in 119 and 129 and had trouble with 110. My problem was the switch and so I bought a really good switch which made all the difference as I paid $20.00 for a EMP switch. Once I had a good switch i was able to change frequencies to lock in 110. Keep fiddling with it it will eventually lock in. You may also want to check to make sure your 110 LNB is working properly. I just changed a LNB because the little white cap disintegrated on me when I was checking it for signal. Good luck.

I replaced my EMP switch with a Chieta heavy duty switch and I got 110 to lock.
