Hello, I have a chance to buy a usued but like new cond. sv8k. Seller says it has the 8psk red card and a svlan., but no remote for $150. I have been away from fta for a while, and want to get back in. Can I check anything out without hooked up to sats. I;m concerned from some reading about a bad power supply, motherboard, or bad svlan. etc. I have read great things about this receiver. I believe it also has an ota tuner which would help for my projector. My other choice is a new dreamlink t5. Any advice or opinions would help me decide. thx. what would you pick? Will be going 110,119,129,82,91 thx.
