Got an email saying that viewsat coders came up with a new standalone file, no more iks.. Is this true? Im an old pansat user from back in the day, when ftatalk was still in operation.. been wanting to get back into testing. But im having trouble finding out what boxes are working and which ones arent.

LOL you really think any of the cheapskate free Tv'ers would be scrambling and paying for IKS servers if there was a free alternative ? :)

I think that what you got was an old message or some indication of hacking on the PC level but not on the FTA level. AFAIK there are no viewsat coders anymore--the company was sued and shutdown. There are hobby coders around but that is about it.
