Using a Dish Ant 1000,with 3 Dish Plus Pro, looking at the from the left is 129, middle 119 and 110 do you also need a DiSEqC switch. Since every thing is up I am to old to climb up on the roof. So I have three lines hanging, how do I know which is 129 etc.

If the lnb's are all in one housing, then the switch is built in.

The D1000 LNB has an internal switch as Fn59 noted, the switching would be Diseqc port # 1 = 119, Diseqc port # 2 = 110 and, Diseqc port # 3 = 129.

Also your receiver MUST be able to run the 3 headed monster LNB from dish, you need at least 650 mA of DC current from the receiver to run that LNB and switch correctly.

If your receiver is marked 500 mA MAX where the coax from the LNB connects then you will have problems.

The only fix for that is to use the DC power inserter for the DPP44 switch (you don't need the switch, just it's power supply) this power inserter must be run on it's own coax out to the #1 LNB port, the other 2 ports on the LNB will run your receiver just fine.

An old Dish 301 (or above) receiver can also be used, it does not have to be an active one, just use it to power the LNB.

Confused. There ARE THREE wires hanging, one from each LNB. so how do that get to the receiver?

OK, lets sort this out, do you or do you not have the 3 in 1 LNB from dish?

Or do you have 3 separate LNB's?

If you have the three individual LNB's then you do need an external Diseqc switch.

Does your LNB look like this?22632

Or are you setup like this?22633

Yes I have the first one. So how can I tell which wire is 129, 110 etc At my age I don't want to climb as ladder? Thanks

Sorry for the late response, if you have the 3 headed LNB in the first photo, then 110, 119 and 129 are on all three coaxes at the same time, so you only need one coax to the receiver, the Diseqc switching (internal switching) for the satellite setups are the same as I posted in post #3.

However your receiver may not be able to run that LNB without problems.

Usualy the first coax from LNB port #1 is run to the living room, then the second and third are run to the back rooms.

The first coax (from LNB port #1) will need to have a DC power inserter from a DPP44 switch, this will run the LNB just fine, the second and third coax will run the receivers just fine after that.

Wow. This is where I am right now. I had the 119 wire going to the Port 1 of the DIS switch, 110 to Port 2 of the Dis Switch and 129 to Port 3 of the switch. And the line from the receiver going to Receiver port of the Dis Switch. Turned on the Sonicview HD8000 sent to Sat set up for 119 using
LNB Type OCS-DP
LNB Freq 11250
22K off
LNB Power ON
Transponder 12224
Search Opt All
Network Switch On
Diseqc Port 1
Motor Disabled
Legacy Switch Off

Then I hit the RED button on the remote. Did not pull any channels in.
The same with Port 3 which is 129.

Now 110 pulled in a lot of channels that were showing. When I exit out went to the first 110 channel, there were no bars at the bottom and then it said NO SIGNAL. Then up popped a window Please update to the Newest S/W at Myfreeneeds.com. Not sure if this site is legit. Went to Version Info and it reads:
Product SV-HD8000
Boot Loader 02.07
Main Software HD21E
Front Software VB-07

At my age it is hard to remember. But before The Direct TV installed a Direct TV Ant, the ass took my DISH LNB's and the I think a switch of some sorts. I found the guy and told him that was stealing and to put back what he took a align the ant.
That is when all the problems started. as indicated above. So my neighbor call his DISH friend up and checked the alignment ran three new wires from the LNB's. So I know the alignment is set right. As to the DP44 switch, I know what they look like, never used one. My Network says connected. Help I am only connecting to one Receiver

OK, for the 119 sat you will need to change the transponder to 12297L as that is the first CONUS beam for the US. the transponder 12224 is a spot beam and you will not get much on that one.

I changed the transponder number, did a scan received no channels. Did a 110 scan got a bunch of channels, exit out got to a 110 channel and I get no signal. Nor can I get 101. Help
Also, strength on all is 6 to14

I deleted the Dis Switch, since I am going to one TV. Changed the In coming Line from the 110 LNB and used the middle (119).
All channels coming in. Except for Sat 129 Ceil can't get that it will not show confirmation in the top right screen of the menu
Also from Porn 481 I get No Service or scrambled and Channel Locked show in title No Information. Movies 520 to 574 Title says No information most are from Sat 110. 576 to 587 No information Sat 14 some have titles NHL Center Ice but the Pic. Need some help on this issue. Thanks

OK I think you have another thread going on this but do this.

One: remove the DPP 44 switch from the setup, you do NOT need an external switch with the DP1000 LNB if you don't need to run more then 2 receivers.

Two: run a cox from the DC power inserter for the DPP44 switch right to the #1 port of the DP1000 LNB, do not hook your receiver to the DP power inserter as this may mess with the receiver.

Three: run a coax from the #2 port of the DP1000 LNB directly to the receivers LNB input.

Use the following settings for sats 110/119/129

Sat set up for 119 using
LNB Type OCS-DP
LNB Freq 11250
22K off
LNB Power ON
Transponder 12297
Search Opt All
Network Switch On
Diseqc Port 1
Motor Disabled
Legacy Switch Off

Sat set up for 110 using
LNB Type OCS-DP
LNB Freq 11250
22K off
LNB Power ON
Transponder 12224
Search Opt All
Network Switch On
Diseqc Port 2
Motor Disabled
Legacy Switch Off

Sat set up for 129 using
LNB Type OCS-DP
LNB Freq 11250
22K off
LNB Power ON
Transponder 12516
Search Opt All
Network Switch On
Diseqc Port 3
Motor Disabled
Legacy Switch Off

ALL coax used must be rated to 2.5 or 3 GHz, this will be marked on the coax.

If this does not work then there could be a problem with the LNB or your receiver.
