your pc will download the file You will need software to extract the file Winzip or winrar will extract the file Also 7zip works well.
does your rcvr have a usb port to load files?

I need the downloader software to load hd 20 chk software to my receiver. It will not load with forced load after receiver repairs (hard boot holding menu button) Again, I need to load with PC thru "downloader software".(sv8k receiver)

show receiver is connected on com3, however, program will not load. when i pressed help button it says the program is no longer supported by microsoft. i do not think it is updated for vista. any ideas how to get it to work?

Never mind. operator error. got it to load.
