Because of a growing tree I had to relocate my dish looking at 129. Did that and rescanned and got 453 channels on 42 transponders so all is well. However it no longer shows channel identifiers only the channel numbers. How can I change to have the channel name be shown? Scanned with network cable off, network channels off (and tried with on) and single sat scan.

There are 32 transponders for 129. I'm not sure whether they are all active or not. I'm presuming you have a lock on satellite
129 cause if you didn't and you were hitting another satellite, you may get channels but no names.

Mine scanned 42 but some failed. I did get 453 channels and 129 channels work that are active. They just show up as channel numbers in the guide. Also the guide does not populate for 129.

If you want to get your channels sort by SID then you should do the following:
- First press the SAT button and select ECHO PACKAGE then exit
or select an HD PACKAGE
-Now press the OK button and a channel screen will appear
-Now press the GREEN button and select SERVICE ID and press yes to "are you sure" and exit out
-Now all of your channels should be sorted out by SID including the HD channels
happy testing

I ended up doing a factory default and rescanned all sat's. That seemed to work and now the channel identifiers are there and the channel numbers are gone.

do any of those channels actually work for you? I seem to remember someone saying that their is a DN channel there someplace saying you are pointed at 129. I can't remember what the channel number is but it really sounds like you are not pointed at the right sat
