Music Editor?

Here is what I do. I have a ton of music on the PC. And I am really good at naming a song within a few notes. And enjoy playing that "who can name that song" with friends. So I want to edit, say 10 songs, together. Only a couple of notes each into a mp3 file, from mp3 files. I googled but all I got was DJ stuff. All I want is a basic editor, no bells and whistles. Any suggestions?

I found something called Audacity. Really cool. Put a nice 6 song AC/DC together. Very happy

And another program called. Modiac to convert mp3 to mp4 so you can annoy all your faceb**k friends.
