Well guys, finally got enough money to go from standard definition to high definition.
I am purchasing a dream box t5.
What will I need to get going?
Currently I have a nanosat and a dish 500 sat. I just purchased a dish turbo hd sat.
Do I just install the dish and plug my receiver in? Or are there extra things I need to purchase to get the box going. I know I will need Internet and a PS, only Obvious since I am already running a nanosat.any advice would help me allot. . Thank in advance fellas!

its a dreamlink t5. You will need more power to run the new lnb you bought. You can buy a power inserter or a dp44 You will also need the hd board. Some dealers insatll it Some dont.

I appreciate the help tor!
And You are right it is a dream link!
Now another question..
The dealer sells everything I need. What should I get the dp44 or the power inserter? The stb does come with the board for hd.

Get which ever is cheaper.
The stb may come with the board but either the dealer installs it or you do.

Anubis: hopefully the board is installed, if not might go to a different seller.
Hedley:so even if I get the dp44 I still need power inserter?
Im confused. If I go with the dp44 do I just install without power inserter?
And if I get power inserter how does it work? Seen a couple of threads stating it goes into port 1? Thanks all for your help and advice that is the main reason I joined the forum!
Cheers!

Even if the board isn't installed it's a piece of cake. I have to agree to go with whatever is cheaper, I know that dp44 can be quite costly.

Ok fellas..I managed to get both a dp44 and a power inserter from a friend.
Is there a how to somewhere showing how to install either one?
I kinda dont get the deal the dp44 wont have power, (how would my receiver power it?)
And the power inserter I know goes into 119 port ( how would I get 119 if that port is taken?)

all very simple my friend, the power inserter is to power either the internal DP34 switch on your 1000.2 LNBF or to power the DP44 switch giving you access for one extra receiver, how many receivers are you planing to use?

Ok fellas quick update for anyone wanting to do the same.
i installed the 1000.2 dish on roof
aligned it.
ran the 3 outputs into the dp44
ran a solo coax to the dp44 power slot 1
ran 2 coax to my existing receivers on port 2 and 3.
everything is up and operational.
