if someone has there ear to see if they can get the recording fixed without that work around would be fantastic
imho this is the best box that has come out in a long time
but the recording really needs to be addressed for us off shift people
thanks

I've hooked up a hard drive and don't work......in fact the box shuts on and off.

Better not to let this happen, don't look good !

Any update on this ?

from what I'm reading it looks like the mega team is gone or at least moved on to something else so doubt you will see any more files released and as far as the best box that has been released recently, everyone is entitled to their opinion

I've hooked my old 1999 seagate in a drive enclosure and it seems to be recording fine...I'll let it run for a while and see if my box shuts off...I've not tried the schedule function but I've set it and I'll let ya know what happens...just so folks will know I do have a bigger power supply or adapter hooked to mine.

I tried a friends new box on the weekend... Same issues. In fact, I couldn't even find a PVR button or menu location to play back the recording. Yet I can see that is starts recording. Also reboots everytime its on an HD channel. SD can run all day no issues. I'll look into the power supply recommendation, but no playback?? lol

Go into avi or iptv then select media player and then video...should be able to playback then...if I get time I'll see what I get with sd vs. hd...having another issue with mine at present...servers seem to be disconnecting for some reason the last few days...not sure if it's the box or the server...guess I'll have to go threw the process of elimination and see what's what.

Thanks for the response. I did find the answer when I was at the retailer. I also picked up a 2.5ma power supply... hopefully that will resolve the other issue.

Seen some new ones on fleabay made like the one that came with the Mega...some have used one with 2.0 amps like the adapter that comes with the dreamlink with success. I've tried two different ones with mine but they were used that I bought off fleabay...thought I would try two different ones so I would have a backup in case one quit on me...tried a Delta and a Motorola that were 12V 2.5A and both seem to work fine so far. Been running one of em on mine since July of last year...specs on the Delta are below...specs on the Motorola I've tried are basically the same.
