Hello Friends,

I'm trying to setup my DL box for the last while and no matter what i try i cannot recieve a signal of 95 95. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the dish settings page is suppose to look like? I have a elliptical dish with two disceq switches one for each box.

My settings on my box are:
Satellite - 91.0 Nimiq1
LNB Power - On
LNB Type - Legacy Twin LNB2
LNB Frequency - 11.250
LNB 22KHZ - On
Disecq SW 1.0 - 1
Disecq SW 1.1 - Off
Legacy SW - SW44 Dish 1

I have the same settings for 82

What signal/quality strength are you getting? I don't think you need 2 disceq switches, just one for the dish, what type of lnb's do you have? You cannot use the same setting for both sats. Only use one switch put one sat on port 1 and the other on port 2. On the box set the proper lnb type, set the appropriate ports for the sats eg: port for 91. turn 22khz off, turn legacy switch off. And read up in the set up thread here for set up it really helps.

Apoligies, i have 2 switches cause i have 2 recievers one in bedroom and one in living room. The one in bedroom has 95 95 for both 82 91. Someone was saying cause i have 2 different boxes there will be 2 different signals coming in.

If you are using dual ln b where there are 2 ports(outs) on each ln b then yes you need to run two separate setups, but they must both be exactly the same and have the same settings in antenna setup and use the same ports on each disq switch.
Now you indicate by your settings that you have a twin ln b and not 2 dual ln b, so you don't need a disq switch as the legacy twin ln b has a built in switch. There are two outs on the ln b, so just run coax to each box. no switch. 91 port 1 and 82 is port 2 under disq setting in antenna setup IF you are using a legacy twin ln b. good luck

I have a dual LNB.. with 2 coax running out of each LNB into my disq switch which run seperatly to each box. Iam running a Nano Pre Se as my second box i'm just confused cause i had a Nano before i switched to DL and had a signal strength of 95 with no issues but for some reason i can't get it with this one. Is it the disq switch is not compatible with it?

21722If you have a lnb that looks like this one and does not have DP on it then you dont use a diseq. If it is a legacy twin(not a dual) and no switch is required to run two rcvrs

It says it is a dual LNBF on it. It has two ports on each LNB.

Just to clarify your problem. When you had 2 Nanos hooked up there was the same signal on both boxes. Then when you replaced a nano with the DL there was NO signal. If so then do the system restore or recovery, do a factory default. If that doesn't do it, then remove the HD module from the receiver. If there is signal then put it back in and see if there is still signal. If not then replace the module.
Having a slight variance in signal between receivers is common. So don't expect the DL to show 95 just because the nano does. capeeshh.

Dies it look like the one in the pic? Your settings say legacy twin.If its a single lnb with dual output your settings should be single.

I have a signal for both 91 & 82
91 is S 58 - Q 65
82 is S 50 - Q 20
That seems to be the best i can do with the DL
My other box (Nano) is S 95 - Q 95. That's why i was wondering if it was a switch problem. I have a Disq 4X1 switch for both Recievers.

did you change your lnb type? You also need to turn 22khz off

I changed LNB type to single and turned 22khz off. It's still the same.

You also may have to adjust the dish (tweak the point) to get a better signal if the ground heaved during the winter or snow /ice bumped it? Change the switch if you think that's it they're cheap. Do you have a sat finder? Some STB's will read high even on weak signals. Also try a different freq. to see if is any better. Really sounds like the dish needs a touch up for a stronger signal.

I know its a late reply but it's not the switch. I have no idea what the issue is!! I have moved/tweaked dish several times and cannot get a stronger signal.
