A friend of mine changed his ISP. He is having a glitch in his home network. He has DHCP enabled on the main router and the ihub (with 4.12) is connected to a DD-WRT bridge. He constantly gets DNS FAIL in the network settings. He changes the local ip to some static 192.168.2.xx and gets connected.

However, he looses the connection once the Sonicview 8000 reboots and has to try connecting by randomly modifying the static local ip.

I need help with the network settings to get a stable connection with the private server.

I would recommend using the IP address for you P$ instead of the Named address.

It is the bridge. Read how to on the bridge.
