Remote control help

Hello gang, I took out of the closet my SV4000 but remote is dead, battery acid damage some things, I try to fix it but no luck so far, now I have a KBox Plus remote control and outside looks the same and in the inside also, but it doesn't work with the SV my question is, if I swap the chip that has like 20 legs from the SV remote to the Kbox remote will it then have the proper code or frequency to control the SV? or is it the 3 leg chip blue color on the opposite side of the board? I doubt anyone has gone to that extent to be able to tell you.
There to cheap (remotes) for most to care to invest the time or effort.
Just my thought anyway. :)
Search that famous auction site for a replacement.
About $10.00 US.
