what files to load

My friend has a new Linkbox local due in tomorrow to replace the Jynxbox v5 and I was wondering what files I need to download and take with me. Should I load more than one and do I need to do a factory reset each time. Will it matter if I set up hard wired and then switch to wifi? Anything special that I need to know or be on the lookout for? Common mistakes made by dummies like me????

does not matter with this box but does the "LB local" support "closed caption"? If so how about in HD (rare)
