I got my DL T5 HD a few weeks ago and everything running well until yesterday morning. When I turned it on, all the signal strengths for all birds were red bars and I could not pick up any channels. I checked the dish and all the cables but found no issues or changes with them.

So far, I've tried factory resetting and downgrading firmware to stock then upgrading back to the latest firmware, which has not helped at all.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A bit more info on your system would help us a bit.

1. How many LNB's do you on your dish(s) and what type?
2. What type/brand of switch(s) (if any) are you using?
3. What satellites are you looking at, Dish or BEV?

make sure it is not the hd module.
the same thing happened with me with dlhd . i check with an other receiver, everthing is good, but with dlhd no signal at all. i am waiting for a new hd module board to arrive. i hope it is just the module which has died after 18 month of service, and not the receiver itself. because now it is not even warm at all as if there is no power in it.

Thanks for the replies!

I'm using 3 LNBs on a 24" dish for 110/118/119/129 and using a Baff DSW-41 switch. This was all working well before and I was getting all the channels.

I really hope it's not an issue with the receiver's hardware. I removed the HD module to see if that was causing the problem. It still doesn't work but the red signal bars dropped from ~97% to ~20%. Any ideas?

Well you really have 4 LNB's, the one for 118/119 counts as two.

But what brands are they?

Dish? BEV? other manufactures?

We need to know.

It will help us help you, better and faster.

i think he has one lnb for both 118 and 119. it will be easier to test cables and lnbs, if he has another receiver.

My LNBs are from other manufacturers. The Royal+ N118K is pointed at 118/119 and I can't find the brand name for the other two but they are the same, the model number is GK-532-10, if that helps...

I'm going to borrow a friend's receiver later tonight. I was hoping the problem was on the software side.

Did you recently change where you plug in the power supply for the receiver?, like change power bars or something.

Check all your connections and make sure they are tight and not corroded including the connection on the back of the receiver plus look at your diseqc switch and make sure there isn't a crack in the housing plus the T5 doesn't like cheap switches if you are using one

Thanks for your help everyone got it fixed now.

I tried my friends receiver and it still did not work. Turns out that one of the outside cables had water in it. I installed everything during freezing temperatures so I must have gotten some snow or ice in there. This week the temperatures warmed up significantly and the snow and ice started to melt, which is why it seemed so sudden.

Case closed. =P

Well not quite closed.

You will at some time have to replace the cable that had water in it, it will slowly degrade the coax center conductor if it is the copper plated steel stuff and you will have problems all over again.

It's best to use good quality RG-6 coax with the pure copper center conductor and good swedged on outdoor rated coax connectors.

Hi there:
I'm having same problem with my Dreamlink HD at the moment. By moving or screwing in/out the RG6 cable at the antenna input the problem goes away for a short while. I checked for cold solder or any visual defect but nothing. I'm in the Dominican Republic and it may be cheaper buying a new one then a modules; shipping price and about one month of waiting time.
