It depends on what is the worst receiver you have ever known. I got mine no complaints, all the features work like it is suppose to.

My openbox X5 works great too and if it works you don't need support, you only need support if there is a problem,JMO.

Some members got the support confused with many receivers, support as for fixing firmware glitches like motor problems, diseq switching, USALS with support as for decrypting signals, before buying a receiver check the support of this receiver with what you really want the receiver for, X5 is a great receiver for True FTA so far is the fastest Blind Scan I have ever own, the Full HD is also the best compared to my OpenBox S10 and SkyBox S12, the difference I see it with PBS Channels on 125west, there more receivers out there that members can say is the worst and do a great job like the X5 but again for True FTA.......................TurboPirate
Soon I'll Start testing LinkBox, AZLink and a TocomSat/TocomLink this last 2 I don't have to spend a dime a friend from SAmerica is sending them to me for testing and reporting him what ever good or bad issues I encounter with them.

Open box receivers do not have support for IKS for Dish or BEV, nor do they have an available 8PSK- turbo FEC card for the Dish or BEV HD channels.

They do work great for the FTA satellites like 97W, no support needed for them.

Mine works great with my motorized system.
