New Ultra Lite No signal

Hello gang I just got news from friend who got new Jynxbox Ultra Lite today with tuner 200 pre installed, went to his house to help him setup the Jynxbox but all I get after blind scan is No programs found. Tried it home with all my dishes C and KU and nothing. Thanks in advance Turbo.

blind scan.. is not the right scan..u my need to check v200 tuner..if is instal right

Make sure it has the right firmware installed as well...
check switch ports if any,
check to make sure you have cable connected to proper port on recvr,

Thanks to you both I open the STB it has installed the 200 and went ahead and installed the 036 because the file the STB came with had no sat settings with the firmware installed I gain the settings for lnb freq and had to add all the sats manually the sat list was empty. also tried the other lnb port in the 200 module just in case I was using the wrong one......turbo

I don't have the ultra lite but in the jynxbox V1 the lnb power off & on is not in the dish settings menu, I would say you need to
find that and see that it is on.

If you could give a little bit of setup info that would be great. lnb's, switches and how long of a cable run. Those JB200's have a bad track record for being nfg right out of the box or failing after a few days of use.

Sure, my friend's setup is easy 30west diseq 1 125west diseq 2 like 10 feet tops of cable between Diseq and receiber.

I also tried at my set up wish has 16 dishes 3 diseq switches cascade conected and I am sure there is more then 25 feet of wire between diseq and receiver

We are not talking about that setup we want to know the dish setup on the box and i think you should do a little more reading there is lot of howto and you will get it

I have being reading this STB simply doesn't work at all. I loaded the 36 file did a factory reset did the dish settings and nothing. Conclusion this module doesn't work with FTA Sats it seems the seller said it just to sell the equipment but it doesn't work.

Have you loaded the all chunks 35 bin. I have 2 more questions...... no pun intended... Does that have the JB200 board or the DVB S2 board in it? and if it should be a JB200 are you using the right jack for lnb ? one night after I had a few beers I hooked mine up wrong and it sent me into a rage for about 2 hours.. I almost took a hatchet to the box. Then I realized what had happened

Thanks for your time, no I didn't load the chunks, I loaded the receiver with the file 36 I was told it was the same 34 but with better fan efficiency, after I did the factory reset I went to info and finally it was showing JB200 before it was showing atsn.......also thought that maybe the JB200 had the ports opposite of what is printed on the receiver's case so I tried the other one, it is a very good question about the proper jack because like I said it crossed my mind and tried the one marked output, this is what I did minutes before replaying you now, I took one of my dishes changed the LNB linear for a circular hoping it was good because it has being in a closet for quite some time, aimed the dish to 119west and bingo Jynxbox lite started with beeping because sat was found, my friend asked the seller and told him/her this STB was for true fta the seller replayed that the JB200 was the right module because it was built this way....." Turbo, 8PSK, QPSK, 16APSK and 32APSK" it had all in one, why buy a different one when you can have all in one..........My friend is on ebay now searching for the proper module for the HD channels found on 125west PBS Montana and the very few on Hispasat, Turbo

I know the feeling, I always think any electronic equipment has a mind of it's own and will act up when least expected,

Another thing I did was check in the settings the LNB set to ON and it was, then I edited all the Hispasat's TP from TURBO to QPSK and still No Channels Found, with the LNB aimed for DN that is where I finally got some signal quality did a blind scan wish I may say is pretty fast and channels were scanned.......I'll keep posting to report what module my friend order to see the FTA HD Channels.........

When you say all chunks do you mean you loaded your receiver via RS232 serial Port?

You can download it and extract it to usb. From there you would have to go into upgrade from usb and arrow over till you see all flash then choose the file. Then it will do the flash

Thanks for the info, my friend doesn't want to load the receiver with that file because he saw it is not an official file and he is afraid..........he said thanks anyway. Turbo

OK now the receiver is in the hands of a new owner and it works on DN for 3 minutes and then go directly to no signal, owner has to do a hard boot to gain signal every 3 minutes.

If he is using a DPP LNB he don't have enough power for the LNB, the JB200 module will over heat and shut down and will power
back on after a reboot.

I think they are the DP a single LNB with a single output each independent and tried switch DP33 and 34

Power should not be a problem with that LNB but it could be a switch problem, bad coax cable, bad cable end or bad ground or no
ground to the switch.

Tried everything my friend, it worked when the DP lnb was replaced with old Cal Amp and a 4x1 Coolsat 2.0 Diseq switch........
