Does everyone like the box I just bought one off of Amazon and it should be here on Friday and I can't wait. I used to have a Limesat that crapped out a few months ago and hopefully this one will work better. Also hopefully this one will have an epg that actually works unlike the limesat which i guess really was because of the support that was lost. I was just wondering if most like the box and does it work well.

there are plenty of threads discussing how this box progressed then support died. you could start by reading the file feedback thread.

I like my Lite a lot. The guide isn't the greatest at the moment but they are working on the matter. There are a few other issues with the box as well. Some people have problems with the PVR function, others don't. The JB200 tuner has had problems in the past but there hasn't been a lot of complaints lately.
Improvements are coming I have been told.

the jynx works great imo, guide populates fine for north or south, the guide looks decent as well, the pic is one of the better ones for HD and not bad for SD imo, does a nice job scanning sats and sorting,
plenty of server slots and you can have all server slots active and will not cause a problem, switches between north and south flawlessly, pvr is okay but could use work, if just recording and playing back it works well, built in media player ius a bonus, the media player plays back almost any format which is nice to have,
overall for the cost of a jynx it is a decent receiver, also mostly only clone units available but seem to work just as good as an original if not better

Decent receiver for the money. It has it's quirks like every other receiver out there. Most sellers will not warranty the JB200 that comes with it. Be careful when loading the factory bin... !Especially! if you don't have a serial port to hook the receiver to "Like I did" because your remote might not work. They changed the remotes so stick to the *35 all chunk bin and you should be good. Use a laptop fan to keep it running cool and you should be happy

never needed to load the factory file to a new receiver just the latest file and good to go,
never understood why some feel the need to load the factory file first than overwrite it using a third party file,
factory file is needed when you mess up your box and your trying to get it back to factory/original state as the receiver already comes with the factory file installed

I would be surprised if you bought a FTA receiver from Amazon - might have an android
I hope I am wrong or I hope thats what you wanted

The Jynx does a good job screwing it's self up to the point of no return, or my kid does it when trying to find teletoon...... either way it ends up in Arabic and I can read that :tehe:
