Mods forgive me if this is in the wrong forum...move if necessary. The hotel I am vacationing at here in Costa Rica has Miami locals on the line up.How can they get the footprint here? More than that, how can they be legally authorized to receive them here? Can they be using FTA? I will try to talk to someone here to see if I can get any answers! Maybe they have a bin? This just intrigues me! Think about it...they must be getting it illegally and if so,how?I will report back if I find out anything.Oh also there is a moderate amount of freezing on these channels.Could this be IKS or EKS? Even still, I didn't think locals were available on IKS or EKS? Stay tuned.........:Idontgetit:

I have seen community members post that DN birds, or at least 110 west, are obtainable with a six foot (C band) dish that will also pick up KU signals, in Central America.

Most likely the dish is on the roof; you might try to see if they are in fact using one. If so, IKS would certainly not be out of the question. Of course they would not be able to obtain a legal sub, being outside the U.S., but neither would they be subject to U.S. law.
