vlc on my ipad

what vcl app to use? There's a few to choose from.
once I download the app can someone tell me what info to enter on vlc and the mini?
I did get the free vlc app it's orange in colour and have added my internal ip with :900 at the end and it failed to connect. I tried my external ip and that failed as well.

if I read the instructions right it should have your internal ip then the port# ie.
192.168.1.1:9000

It didn't work for me until after I port forward in the router.
You need to port forward in your router 1st before it will work.

Download Fing

Find the i.p. of your Pinwheel after you scan with that app.
Shenzhen Ogemray Technology Co., Ltd is the Network Adapter Company.

Use that I.P. to port forward on your router and put 9000 for the port.


That is that I.P. address and port to live stream with.

VLC was working yesterday on my PC (windows7) and my Ipad, and iphone. Now it does not work on any.
I get the error "Your input can't be opened:"

tried rebooting a few times but same error. Any sugestions ?
