Scanning, but no channels...
Was working fine until all the beav issues. Damn the rat who started this crap.
I did a series of reboots changing those IP addresses and may have fried my tuner.

Yeah. I hear you. :-)
Did factory reset/reload a few times. Got 8 channels on one bird and none on the other.
Now no channels on either bird.
Open up and press down on the red board. No luck.
Will sleep on it.

Of course I was not able to sleep on it :-)
A hobby is always in your dreams.
I defaulted to factory; reapply current bin; No luck except the same 8 channels on one bird. None on the other bird.
Defaulted to factory again; apply Bin 114; No luck except the same 8 channels on one bird. None on the other bird.
Went back to Bin 119. Same 8 channels on one bird. None on the other bird.
Sounds like frequency on the box?
Will try to find the frequency those 8 are.
Anyone else with the same issue in the past?

I hate to ask an elementary question but....
did you reconfigure your sats after you did the factory resets and loaded the various 3rd party bins?
if you did....are you getting a "sat lock" before you scan?

Good Morning to you Hedley.
No need to apologize. Any help and questions are appreciated.
Yes, I had to reconfigure my sats after loading the 3rd party bins. They don;t show up after the factory rest, but do after the bin is loaded.
By "sat lock" do you mean a "good" signal lock?
I was looking at that - it was above 95% before and I'm still at that strength. The other bird with zero channels is still at 95-97% strength. Weird or what?
Yeah, I was also thinking the dish moved.
BTW.
I did confirm those 8 channels are all on 12.224(H)
So my dear friends.
Lots of information.
I did manually change and scan a few different frequencies. No other channels found.
On an auto scan with Turbo 8PSk, it does scan through the various frequencies, but only finds the 12.224 ones (8 in total).
HELP!!!!!!!!
:-)

by satellite lock he means, after you re-congigure your switch for the sat does the satellite name also appear at the top of the menu screen? if so then something going on with the tuner, if not then switch is not configured properly

Thanks for the clarification Nostradamus.
Your's and Hedley's assistance is much appreciated.
Well I have resolved the issue and it's not good news (well also not really very bad news).
In a nutshell.
Yes. The Turbo 8PSK is fried.
I went back and installed the original DVBS QPSK and that worked.
Since I'm only testing
Feeling very adventurous now - removed the DVBS QPSK and popped the Turbo 8PSK back in.
Of course factory defaulting etc...
No go. Nada. Zilch. Nothing.
So still in testing mode, removed the Turbo 8PSK and (attempted) put back the DVBS QPSK. Found that was rocking. Took a deep breath. Drank my coffee. Looked to both boards. Thought I had bent the pins. Panic setting in.
Another sip of my coffee.
Bingo. Light went off. A part (pin connection) of the Turbo 8PSK had become detached and was still on the motherboard.
Removed that (white piece) and gingerly installed the DVBS QPSK.
Heat sink installed - well rubber piece. Locked up the box. Reconnected and reconfigured.
:yeaah:
All's well in TV Land - sorta.
Works now but no HD. Will live with it until I can get another turbo. Enough testing for two days.
:grr:
Hope I may be able to help someone (by posting this long thread) with the same issues in the future.
