Max HD and weather forcaster

I've been out of the loop for 3-4 years. I have a Max HD and the weather forecaster, is this still a usable dongle? I bailed out when Viewsats server gave up the ghost. But time to explore again.

the wf is dead but you can run the vs if you have a computer running a program There is some info in the viewsat common discussions forum

Or you can use an XFTA dongle/router and alot of info is also posted in the forums, the VS Max is still a great receiver to use however w/ addons.
