This is not a plug and play box and since you are asking if it works in canada indicates you did no background reading on the box before purchasing. This is a linux based receiver and most get frustrated once they get passed the on button. Instead of giving some guy gas money in china buying from alibaba, go to a reputable fta store and buy a box that works with iks. dream link, jynxbox, pinwheel. jmo

You should find a dealer in your area, that way if you have a problem you can take it back. They won't even know you once they get your money at alibaba. Ask in a post what would be a good place to buy either a dream link or jynxbox in your province or state or city. You don't have to say exactly where you live. good luck
