I have 2 FTA Receivers and 2 4x1 Switches and I would like to know if both of these German 4x1 Switches....BAFF or Best would Resolve signal loss problems w/ 2 FTA receivers. If it is a BAFF Switch that would only do that then I have the wrong Switch that I just Received which is a Best Switch. Please let me know if you have used and/or tested either one of these Switches. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I know as long as I don't switch to the same channels on both FTA Receivers then I don't get a bad or no signal error from one of the Dreamlink HDs. I read somewhere that BAFF would resolve signal loss problems which I already have when I change to those Channels on 110,119 or 129 Sat. There is a German 4x1 Switch out there that is called "Best" so I was comparing it to "BAFF".

If you are having such issues maybe you want to look at a powered switch.

I had an indoor powered switch before and it shorted on me so I decided just to stick with regular indoor or outdoor 4x1 diseqc switches instead.

This might not be a switch issue per-se, usually when you have a switch issue it will affect lots (if not all) channels but since your problem only occurs when both receivers are tuned to the same channel it might be a grounding issue. Is your system grounded using proper grounding blocks?

If you're just picking up 110/119 you could always use a sw21 switch for one receiver.
I've had someone also suggest that if using 2 4x1 diseqcs, that if for example you have 119/110/129 on ports 1-2-3 on one switch; then put 119/110/129 on ports 4-3-2 on the second switch. Never tried that myself so don't know if it works. But as mentioned earlier the powered switch would be the best solution.
EMP did have a 4x2 switch but it's been discontinued, I don't see any online retailer carrying them anymore.

Well I do know that from reading the BAFF 4x1 Switch info it says that it does solve signal loss problem and what I went through with a powered Emp Switch shorting on me was not a good decision. I also had an Emp 8x2 Switch and I had problems with that too. I do not know enough about this "Best" 4x1 Switch which is what was posted in the first place so I don't throw away my money on a another bad Switch.
