It is stated that:
"First Startup Box will Boot in Pal mode , turn Box off and Restart and the Box will Auto
Tune and Boot to NTSC .. That's it"
Does not do that and now my box is ruined because the poster did not try it on his box before this affirmation.

mst firmware tool shows all the dates as very old,so not a factory firmware or probably done by a hacker that doesn't know how to set the dates correctly.

how when all i can see on tv is a rolling screen ?
I think any file posted should be test by the poster before posting it !
That what i did before posting a file for s16.

tv doesn't even have to be on to use the rs232 loader.
Firmware is in pal mode so you would have to hit the vformat button on remote to correct or blindly finger the remote.

your receiver will be ok...just use this loader with a null modem cable to put any file back on it you want.....when you open the program click the ''Browse'' button to find the file you want....then click start and immediately flip the button on the back of receiver ''OFF and ON'' to initiate and let it finish downloading:yes:

assuming your pc had a serial port.
The firmware was bundled with a loader already.
You select the file in the loader then hit next.
Turn on the receiver at a casual rate, the loader gives you many minutes to turn the receiver on.
Some people will try it with the receiver on already,or turn the receiver on too fast. Both will result in error messages.

1st: the file should have been tested before posting it.
2nd: not to many laptops with serial port, and to buy one now just to fix others' mistake it's kind of ....

old pc is often cheaper than buying a usb adapter which usually doesn't work with the openbox loader anyway.
I got a pc for free out of the trash.I always have at least 2 or 3 old pc's around for emergency use.

A new file is not to create problems, but to solve problems....
and not to make the users to spend time & money to solve problems...
