I no u can hook an external hard drive to the 8000 but was wondering if it is possible to hook up a lap top hard drive I have to it? Thx in advance

you would need some type of enclosure for the hard drive so that it can connect via usb and it would work just fine

something similar to this ... it would have to fit the hard drive and it would need the right hook up internally whether it is IDE or SATA and it would be USB hook up to the computer or receiver
