I recently purchased a linkbox 8000 hd local. At this time I am not interested in iks service, just fta. I'm confused about the LS 400 module. I first setup the stb with the standard tuner module that came with the stb, and have my bud dish aimed at gal23 (121w). I scanned the satellite and found channels in sd and hd (DVB and DVB S2), as I expected. I then installed the LS 400 module and rescanned the same satellite. Should I have found the same channels as the standard tuner. Will the LS 400 module work on sd and hd, or is it only for turbo hd? I have the standard firmware that came with the stb. I don't know anything about different files I read about, so if someone can direct me to an appropriate site to get info would help also. I need to know if the LS 400 module is working. The stb does scan, but does not see anything with the LS 400 (says failed after the tp). When doing a blindscan with the LS 400 module, it locks up the stb. Any ideas?
