It is rumored in other forum box linkbox hd local group have not been able to repair the bug which has the box with several family, and the sw 21, all this is a rumor.

when dealing with companies, hardware, and coders anything is possible but given the information that we know about the HD local it doesn't make sense

hence usually boxes that cannot be repaired via code are ones that have been around for a longtime and the coding team has not been given enough of the code to work with - this is usually a trust issue for than a coding issue

second, with hardware related issues they usually present themselves as compatibility issues ie lnbs giving no so signal when in fact there is signal with a different receiver

I think a rumor such as the one presented about a new product says more about the one presenting it than does about the box targeted
