VIP211 setup for 110-118-119-129

When I test with a check switch it doesnt get 129 and 119. It says OK for 118 and 110 after the check switch. The signal is also very low. But I could get all 4 sats with high signals my dreamlink hd. I have an elliptical dish.

Do you have the DP or DPP LNB's for dish nutwork receivers????

A VIP211 will not work on other types of NON dish LNB's.

And looking at the satellites your trying for, do you have one of the D1000 plus satellite dishes??

Or something else??

Like a Dish 500 plus with a second DPP LNB for 129???

Or a dish 500 with the specila DPP LNB for 118/119 and a second dish for 129 run into a DPP 44 switch??

Id prefer a dish 1000 plus to get 100-119-129. can I install that dish myself with the first-strike meter???

Yes, just use satellite 119 as it is the center satellite, this to find the birds, use TP 12457 to find 119W, then skew the dish to find 110 and 129, 118 will come in with 119.

Use dishpointer.com to find out where to point the dish and what elevation and skew to use, use the dish 1000 selection in the "Multi LNB" settings.

A Dish 1000 Plus will get 110, 118, 119 and 129, but you have to be within the foot prints for those satellites, the following links will show the foot prints for those satellites.

For 110,

I never used a dish network dish before so I wonder how to connect the dish to the vip211. Will I need a switch if I get the dish 1000+ or only one cable coming from the dish going to the receiver.

Only one cable will be needed, direct from the LNB input on the back straight up to the #1 port on the D1000 LNB.

The coax must be rated to 2.5 GHz or be marked "Swept to 3 GHz" or it wont work right, do not use coax marked "CATV".

If this is a new installation then an outside ground block should be used, it should be as close to the ground point as possible, a metal cold water pipe, a ground rod driven into the ground or your house AC service ground (outside) should be used.

Number 12 gauge (or larger, 10 gauge, 8 gauge) solid copper wire with a green jacket should be used.

I can give you detailed instructions if needed.

Thx Terryl. Im not sure if I understand. But where do I connect the receiver to? I just called to my local store and they dont have the D1000+. They said to get the D500+ and add a lnb for 129. I saw the picture of the D500+ (including the optional lnb for 129). Adding the 129 Id get 4 output (110-118-119-129). I guess Id need a switch to end up with one cable going to the receiver.
